I'm a whore for DM. I've put more hours into it since I started back in Episode 2. I have it alone to thank for my blessed aim that's carried me to high MMR where my brain is mid at best.

That being said, regardless of changes to DM itself that have been made over the past year, the player base (at literally all MMRs) approaches DM in the most spineless way possible making it an arguably mediocre tool for aim practice now.

This is an example of what happens if I play DM like the fake demons do.

I can replicate this every single time I play DM against any rank of players regardless of how good their actual aim and movement mechanics is. Not necessarily 2 deaths but absolutely less than 10 every time, with a score gap of 15-20 at match end. Just like in the screenshot, about HALF the time I get accused of cheating even with high ELO gamers present in the lobby.

This doesn't help me warm up or improve in any way. It is literally just a method of ego indulgence that down bad players abuse and ruin the purpose of this mode for everyone. The problem is a huge amount of top streamers and pros play out DMs on stream EXACTLY like this to farm supportive comments in chat and on YouTube vods.

Nowadays, if I wanna W key Deagle only practice - my personal favorite way to DM - I will look like a clown 100% of the time. Everyone from pisslow to Radiant just holds a default or site's heaven and only swings off of spawn audio or footsteps with the game's awfully unbalanced peeker's advantage. It's not even possible to react if you're hard W keying because of the sheer number of angles they could swing from on your audio without you having any info on them.

If they're not using that exact strategy, they'll just be perma holding off angles that absolutely no one in a DM will ever clear regardless of skill level. Fellow DM enjoyers, what does this accomplish for you? Why do you hate yourself so much?

This mode desperately needs to just be changed to 24/7 mode without a score/"winning" so that MAYBE people will wake the fuck up and actually try to improve instead of whatever it is they're currently doing.
