If Valorant added CSGO's feature of different guns awarding different amounts of money, it could afford the devs a much more subtle way of nerfing/buffing guns.
Imagine the stinger awarded you 200 credits more than the specter. I bet you'd see an increase in stinger use, without buffing it into a super weapon then nerfing it into obscurity (ares?).
