Some backstory on the boxes, through-out project A teasers and the beta for Valorant the radianite boxes were Orange, as a supposed design choice, they decided to change that to green and that has been the staple radianite colour ever since, until fracture, where A site has orange radianite boxes (on the desert side of the map) while the B site has green, implying that the orange radiante boxes are officially apart of the game, lorewise.

My theory on why they are orange:

In the duality cinematic during the defusal part KJ had the spike "defuser" in her hand, when she attemped to use it she required a radianite core which she had, it was green, when attempting to use it she exclaimed that it "wasnt enough power" and had needed to be "super-heated" phoenix then grabs it and sets it on fire, afterwhich the radiante core turns orange and is usable to defuse the spike.

My theory is that "super-heating" is what draws out the "power" in radianite, and the alternate earth has "super-heated" and used all their radianite (making it unusable for power anymore aswell as making it orange) the "explosion/accident" that happened in the fracture cinematic also could demonstrate this, because the "super-heated" radiante boxes are on the barren side of them, suggesting that it got so hot during the explosion that it killed off the plants and vegetation.

The reason the boxes were changed in beta is because why would you want to steal already super-heated radianite? It wouldnt make sense lorewise and thus gives reason the the design and colour change.

Perhaps radianite is so powerful yet so unrenewable of an energy source (like fossil fuels) that the duality earth has to steal from the earth trying to protect their unused radianite.

Its just a theory on why the orange boxes are green and why theyre brought back into the game.
