There is a 2nd place curse in international VCT events.

In every international event, the 2nd place team did very poorly next time around.

Masters 2 2021 2nd Place: FNATIC, not present at Masters 3

Masters 3 2021 2nd Place: NV (OpTic), 9-12th Place at Champions 2021

Champions 2021 2nd Place: Gambit (M3C), not present at Masters 1

Masters 1 2022 2nd Place: LOUD, 11-12th place at Masters 2

Masters 2 2022 2nd Place: Paper Rex, 9-12th place at Champions 2022

Champions 2022 2nd Place: OpTic, ???

One thing to note, though, is after their slump, they usually come back to form. Examples: OpTic winning Masters 1 2022, LOUD winning Champions

Kinda funny stat, but it brings up an interesting question.

Do these teams get too complacent, thinking the 2nd place was because of unluckiness, or what? Let me know your thoughts.

Should riot leave Brazil as next venue?

Brazilian crowd did fnatic so bad. So disrespectful and low class act. Even csgo major they act like that. I know they got to support home crowd but at least give respect to the winner of the best grand finals ever. Big L Brazil
