I don't even know why this isn't even a thing yet.
Yes I can see what the whole weapon when it's floating on the screen like that for rotating around and stuff. BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE GAME.
Sure I could go look at someone's youtube video for the skin showcase, but I shouldn't need to do that. There's ingame previews for upgrades but not for the base.
I'm thinking of something like the prime karambit, where the base pullout animation is cooler than the upgraded one. There's probably someone out there who saw the upgraded pullout animation only from the preview, and not want the skin because it doesn't do the cool flippy.
There's also just cool looking skins that aren't upgradeable in the first place, like the current battle pass knife. Some people might say it's just the default and not worth it, but when you actually see it in game it looks cool.
It's just better to include previews for unupgraded skins.
