Toxicity is present in every online game, and Valorant (as literally everybody knows) is no exception. This might seem obvious to a ton, but I'm fairly new and thought that anybody else that also is might appreciate this info. We all have games where we don't do very well, and it sucks when you have a teammate that is whining and cussing you out in regards to your lack of skill rather than trying to improve themselves. If anything, I have found that this has made me play much worse after trying to reason with them, as it's easier to get tilted than one expects, which will only make you play worse, even throughout many games (depending on how bad the toxicity is).
While it might seem obvious to just mute these people, it's very often I find that many players would rather not mute their teammates because they might make a decent callout. The thing is though, these players will most likely never call anything out beyond the most surface level things; for every one callout that there might be a player on site, you have about 10 other comments where they're talking you down and being obnoxious. This is especially evident when you have a player that says something along the lines of, "Do you ever stop talking?" after you're trying to be friendly to your team in agent select, as if this is how they are when the game isn't going against them, they're just going to be even more volatile afterwards. This was most likely an obvious tip, but it helped me improve and I think some people still need to see it.
TL;DR: Just mute people that are being toxic, they won't give you anything useful.
Edit: Typo
