1.) Slicing the Pie. 2.) Counter-strafing. 3.) crosshair placement.

Slicing the pie, is a known term to clearing angles. This is essential for high Elo players but, I have noticed on my months of coaching Average Elo (Bronze - Immortal.) which most players struggle with this concept so they end up over peeking & getting punished. With this being said, You’re main objective as a team in valorant rather it is on T side or CT retaking, or rotating etc.. is too gain map or site control & too clear every angle needed. You should Never hold W too clear angles. I will not be going into detail on how to do this. Look up YouTube videos on slicing the pie.

Counter strafing is a mechanic that was abused in CS Go & other Tac fps shooters & it will be one of the key focuses to maintain when taking gunfights during this topic. To get this factor down, you will need too hold a or D & let go of the current held key & press the opposite movement key. This will stop your movement faster but you will not want too use it for this. Instead, you will want too hold Your opposite movement key too make you a harder target too shoot whilst lining up your shot

Crosshair placement is a Harsh topic for new players because everyone just says, “Headshot level.” While this is a obvious, I don’t think this is the question people are asking when it comes too Crosshair placement. 1.) The goal of crosshair placement comes down too 3 things. A.) positioning B.) Headshot level C.) tight? Or further away. A.1) When you’re holding an angle , you will always want too position yourself Further left, or right depending on site / angle. You want too position yourself so the opposing enemy is forced too wide swing you, or hold it in a way that you can see the enemy gun first. B.2) Headshot level. Yep. Nothing more needs to be said. C.3) Tight or Far? This will depend on mainly your ping & your reaction time & your distance from the angle. Firstly, let’s discuss Tight angle hold. The further you are away from the angle, the tighter you can hold. This is due too angle advantage but you’re exposed too wide swings, so just be aware of this. To avoid this, you can position more too the left or right too force a wide swing so you can react. For further angle hold, this will not be ping reliant. The closer you are too an angle, the further you should hold due too wide swings.

This does not cover aim training, routines, flicks. This is basic game knowledge for low Elo players.
