Tips on how to win a personally bad game

To start this out I would like to explain what I mean when I say a "personally bad game." This is a game where your teammates might be going 10 and 5 and you are going 1 and 12.

Tip #1: Utility

Utility in Valorant is almost as important as the gun play. The use of utility in a round can swing the tide, being the decider of who wins and who loses. The best thing to do is stay back and focus on using your utility rather than focus on getting into gun battles. You might feel like you are making no contribution to the team and the team may feel the same way, but a smoke, flash, molly, or other might force the enemy to make a mistake they might not have. What this also means is when you are at the bottom of the score board money is something you will have little of so purchasing utility may seem hard but that brings us to Tip #2

Tip #2 Strapped for Cash

Buying all utility, full armor, and a phantom or vandal is the peak of performance, except in these games where you are not at your peak, stay away from spending mad money on your kit. Instead, buy all your utility and whatever will make sure you can somewhat hold your own. Saving your money will also allow you to buy those higher priced guns for your better performing teammates. "well how am I supposed to get kill then." Well that will bring us into Tip #3

Tip #3 Scavenge

Many people look down upon the humble vulture, a bird that does no work but waits for its meals to be dead with no effort of its own. That is how you must play when you are at the bottom. Wait until a teammate or enemy has died with a gun much better than the classic, and use that. This allows you to not only save on your economy, but also forces you to play safer than you might have been before. That will bring us into our final tip, Tip #4

Tip #4: Stealth

Valorant has many angles, many cubbies, many places one can hid to evade the detection of an enemy. When playing from the bottom of the score board, hiding and waiting for the enemy to stroll by, is the best way to snag a kill or two. This type of playstyle does three things:

1.) Forces the enemy to check every tiny and minuscule angle effectively wasting their time.

2.) Tilts the enemy because they died to someone with 2 kills and as the feeling of shame and anger build so will their mistakes build

3.) Starts to rescue you from the bottom of the scoreboard so at least you're better than your 5-16 Omen

Remember, at the end of the day Valorant is not about kills, nor who had the sickest headshot, but who wins.
