I've seen alot of teams who are decent on defense, fall apart on attack easily.
The main reason of this is most players, low or high elo, having not a full understanding of how defaulting works.
Alot of people think that defaults are that you send 3 people to the site you want to attack and the other 2 lurk. This is wrong.
The correct way is to gather map control as a team, getting info on where the enemies are and deciding where to push. The main goal of this is to split apart the defenders and have a easy site take, compared to 5 man rushing 1 site and having a 5v5 favored to the defender side because they can rotate faster then you can entry.
Defending is much easier than attacking in ranked games for this reason because people rarely are coordinated enough to pull something like this off
Attacking is easier for the most part in pro play because all of them practice this together and work as a team
So if you stomp the defending half and the attack half you find your team falling apart, take a chance to tell your teammates how to attack properly and lead them to the win
Unless the enemy have a duelist that just shuts everything you do down, then uh, good luck.
Edit: To split apart the defenders you have to have presence all over the map, not just 1 guy at b and 4 at a
