Found something interesting
So I was reading a manga (Korean), it’s called the challenger. It’s about vr league and in the latest chapter 32, it has cypher as one of the characters.

Why do people peek this way?
As you can see he moves closer to the wall then peeks. I thought you're at a disadvantage when you are closer to the wall because enemy sees you first before you do.
If it was me I would always peek further away from the wall.
