I’m sure I’m not the only person who has posted this, but I wanted to make my own post to try and spread the word some more. A Valorant content creator known as “Ghoul” made a very well explained video exposing how people are being boosted from ranks as low as iron all the way to radiant by abusing the 5 stacking rules.

When 5 stacking, it takes the average ranks of the players and queues them up against people of similar MMR. When Smurfs go on low ranks (iron-gold mainly), it makes games so much because the people on the opposing team will have very low ranks while playing against Smurfs. This allows people to have win rates as high as 90%, which is unbelievable.

Someone that I used to play with often suddenly jumped from diamond to immortal 3 in an extremely short amount of time. I checked their career and noticed that he was just 5 stacking against low ranks, but it took me a while to realize what was really going on (until I watched Ghoul’s video).

Something needs to be done about this, and I really hope this becomes more noticed around the community.
