Hi everyone! I know this is a new account, but let me explain what I'm here for. I am a Japanese living in America, and I have come to represent the Japanese VALORANT community. I hope you all have heard of the JP Valorant, as well as the JP Discord server.

A group within the JP Valorant server, including the server owner, Vex_DoRa, has been made regarding the Oni 2.0 melee skin. There have been many complaints within the Japanese server and on Twitter regarding the skin. Most of them are about the idle state (when it is sheathed) being held on the right side and, despite the dominant hand setting, the katana being used by the opposite hand. In the traditional way the katana is held, no matter the dominant hand, the katana is held on the left side, drawn by the right, and held with the right hand on top and left hand on the bottom. Of course, you could reverse the handedness setting, but the fact is that it doesn't make sense to the name of the setting.

I think that they should change the katana's animation to be right hand dominant for right handedness and left hand dominant for left handedness, with the aforementioned traditional holding style in effect. That way, both left and right hand animations stay for the skin, and it will be more traditional for people using the right hand setting, which is the initial setting and the setting many people use. This traditionality is important to us as a culture and as fans of the game.
