Hello all,im Lux, a few days ago i posted in this reddit asking about the possibility of a valorant little league similar to what i experienced in a nother game that i play. I found out that such a program does not exist however there did seem to be a decent amount of interest, so i have decided to take the first steps on forming a strong fun league that can allow us noobs to enjoy the thrill of competition. I will use this post as a sort of mission statement where i can lay out my goals for the league and what you can expect from participating / supporting it, I apologize in advance for what i can only expect to be a long league.

My idea is to form a league of 8-16 teams of players silver 3 and below each team with their own coach to help them learn the intricacies of higher levels of play. Individual players will sign up on their own and once signups close they will be sorted into teams with coaches. There will be a discord server that will serve as the hub of the community, but each team is highly encouraged to create their own discord channel where they can set up scrims practice and come up with strategy. I plan to have each team play 1 best of 3 match each week. I want to be able to have at least one match a week be streamed to a twitch channel that i will be creating for use solely for the purpose of this league. Each team is responsible for scheduling their match with their opponents, in order to find a convenient time for both teams. There will be a google spreadsheet linked in the discord where things such as rosters and statistics will be kept for everyone to see.

Things i need to move forward:

I will be soon releasing application for both coaches and server moderator roles, looking for 3-5 moderators whom will be pivotal in making sure the discord server stays orderly as well as acting as a go between for me and the community as i am only 1 man and cannot always be present to answer questions, and 8-16 coaches of diamond or higher rank that are willing to put time into coaching their players and creating a positive learning environment.

Once i have settled the amount of coaches signups will be open, screenshots of profile rank will be required to prove that players qualify to enter the league. Any player caught smurfing will be immediately banned from any future activity involving the league.

What about the future?

As i said before this idea is based on a very successful league from a game called smite which started a league similar to this to amazingly positive success, currently linked up with the developer themselves they receive things like skin codes and in game currency to give to the victors. Right now season 1 looks like it will be a bragging rights tourney but i dont plan for it to stay this way. I also want to build a stable framework and have my coaches and moderators return season after season to continue to smooth out the process of running the league. I want to be able to turn my volunteers into staff in the future with opportunities for pay depending upon the success and traction of the league. I will also much appreciate any casters and spectators for our stream team.

Are you qualified to run something this possibly massive?

While im basically a nobody in the valorant community i have an extensive history in competitive esports.

I originally come from the fighting game community specifically smash brothers 4 the wii u where i was a sponsored commentator and tournament organizer. On average my tournaments drew 25-50 people with my largest tournament clocking in at 144 competitors so im familiar with running a bracket in a timely fashion as well as dealing with player interactions. Moving on from that i found my self immersed in the moba smite where i have been playing competitive for 5 plus years learning what it means to be a part of a league and have experience from both the player and organizer side. It is true that ive never tried spearheading something quite this large but i believe that i have the tools to take on the challenge especially if I'm able to find a good group of moderators to help me hold this down.
