Viper is a scientist and Radianite technology user coming from Alaska, USA. She is Agent 02 of the VALORANT Protocol, the second agent to join the organisation, and alongside fellow agent Brimstone, is a leading member and founder of it.

Viper uses an array of self developed poisonous chemical devices to cripple the enemy's vision and control the battlefield, wearing them down both physically and mentally. She enjoys playing mind games on her weakened opponents, observing their downfall with great interest.

Once a brilliant scientist and researcher, she no longer thinks clearly, having become hateful and biased in her research. She possesses a very sadistic personality, thriving on the enemy's suffering and preferring to slowly and painfully execute her prey. She is also extremely sociopathic, caring little for the safety of herself or those around her and showing no remorse for the pain she inflicts.

Origin

During her youth, Viper earned a doctorate in chemistry and she initially joined Kingdom, with the goal of wanting to help the world. She used her knowledge to heal others and was a part of Kingdom's Radianite project. She helped convince the people of Bind to build the Radianite refinery complex, and eventually, her research led her to discover many secrets at the cost of unconventional and unethical experiments.

At some point, something happened that would change her forever. Viper later noted that the event took "everything" from her, and is likely the cause of her sadistic nature today. As a result of everything that took place, Viper turned to a path of vengeance. She used the Radianite technology she had closely been studying with Kingdom to create her own poisonous chemical devices, including gas emitters, chemical sprayers and chemical launchers. Later, she and her former Kingdom colleague Brimstone founded the VALORANT Protocol, a covert, self-serving operation to protect her home from the global Radianite events ravaging the planet.

Relationships

Astra

Astra feels a level of sympathy for Viper, believing her antagonistic personality is not her fault and constantly tells Viper that she is better than all this. At the moment, Viper has not commented on her relationship with Astra.

Breach

Much to the disagreement of Brimstone and some fellow agents, Viper reached out to Breach and personally hired him into VALORANT. They have a mutual respect and friendship with each other, and Viper comments that she does not regret hiring him at all.

Brimstone

Brim and Viper are the two leading members of VALORANT and have known each other for some time before VALORANT, as they both work for Kingdom. They display signs of a friendship, however at times Viper can act distant towards the soldier. She takes a strong disliking to his moral approach to leadership. Both know a lot of information they have not yet revealed to the others, and they hide the fact that Kingdom is secretly backing the protocol.

Cypher

Viper is known to approach Cypher about the information he collects about the Earth 2 Agents. However, their relationship is strictly professional.

Killjoy

Viper and Killjoy are the two scientists of the group and work together on developing Radianite technology and running tests on the field. Although Killjoy is aware of the corrosion Viper's mind has suffered, she is still looked down upon by the scientist.

Omen

When Omen was a human, both him and Viper worked together as lab partners on Kingdom's Radianite project. The two developed a close friendship, however when Omen sacrificed himself after a lab accident to save the other workers, they grew distant towards each other. Omen recalls her name and that they were once friends, however she keeps a lot of information about his past from him.

Reyna

Before VALORANT, Viper experimented on Reyna's little sister. Whether it was with good or bad intentions is unknown, however the experiments failed resulting in the death of or harm to her. This has caused animosity between the two, however, possibly due to Reyna not knowing Viper's true identity, this is not reflected in game.

Sage

In the past, both Viper and Sage crossed paths and worked together on something, however Sage was unable to do what she was expected. This has caused Viper to be extremely bitter and resentful toward Sage about it in the present, and although Sage offers to help Viper, she refuses, believing Sage is not capable of doing so.

• Viper's birthday is on March 20
• Viper's suit has the Kingdom logo on it, suggesting she still works for them
• Viper's air filters protect her from her own poisons, however mirror Viper's poisons are unaffected
