When valorant launched there were 11 agents. 5 were unlocked instantly and 2 could be unlocked very fast through the new player quests. Leaving only 4 to be unlocked through the 200,000 exp grind = 800,000 exp

Today new players get the same 7 early characters but there are 15 characters to unlock. Thats 3,000,000 exp.

Ive played since beta and have every character fully maxed out. But as more characters get added it gets harder and harder for new players to unlock characters.

I think the devs should consider giving new players 6 characters on release (i think a flash initiator could be a good choice as we have sova but his role is very different than a kayo or breach, or pick a fan favourite or simple character)

And give an extra free agent unlock during the new player quests.

And ongoing they should continue increasing this or add something like leagues free rotation system (though not for ranked) or even revamp the unlocks completely
