I've seen a lot of posts/videos on what Smurfing is and how it's affecting the game from a long time. I'm just giving my unbiased thoughts on that.
FYI: This will be a long post. Please be advised.
I started playing Valorant around Aug 2020 with 5-6 of my friends. We played together from starting, some of us were playing for fun, some were serious.
So we started with Iron, then bronze, then silver, reached Gold 1 but got demoted instantly. So you could say we're Silver 3/Gold 1 players.
In our team itself, 1 guy pops off, 2 stay in between ( Me), and 2 are always bottom fragging ( No matter what ). In starting it was fun, but now it's frustrating to see that:
Top Fragger: Aim of Plat, Game sense of Diamond. Me & 1 other: Aim of Gold, Game sense of Plat/Diamond. Other 2 friends: Aim of Silver, Game sense of Bronze.
So this literally means that our top Fragger is stuck in gold & SMURFING because of us. And we're BOOSTING our 2 bottom fraggers who should be in bronze/silver 1.
We can't stop playing with each other as we have created such a bond while playing, that it's simply tilts everyone doing solo queue. I'm tired of making our bottom fraggers understand game sense ( still they do same mistake again & again ) or practice a bit of aim, but they just don't have enough time to do these things.
In b/w friends, No 2 person can have same game sense/aim. And basically it's a team game & we should play this for fun (right?), but sometimes when a game seems an easy win, but we still loose because of some silly mistakes (throw), that is when I get these questions:
- Should I just keep playing with them? as it's always fun,
- Or find a new team/players & maybe get synchronized with them ( Trust me I've tried and failed multiple times ).
- If not, then I'm stuck at solo queue and that experience we don't want to talk about.
P.S. For them who read till now, would love to hear your thoughts :)
