Sentinels capitalized on the undeveloped pro scene early on and dominated the lesser teams. This garnered them much fame that even their slump due to the increasingly competitive and advanced competitive scene has little effect on their influence and popularity, something better teams and more skilled players that have emerged cannot even come close to matching.
If Twitter be any sort of indicator - it's insane how many followers the Sentinels member have on Twitter. TenZ surpassed s1mple. I doubt he'd have this success even if he stuck with CS:GO and somehow was able to make it to top 20 HLTV later on.
