in my games, no one was pushing mid, they just commited to a site. But, some people in my games did push mid and my friend said if pushing mid was a dumb idea because you will die to an operator user. what is the real benefit of pushing mid and what should i do?

It amazes me how many people across different ranks are killed because they run around with their knife out
I swear I've seen this even in the pros since Counter Strike Source, and I still see it everywhere today. Anywhere from low ranks, to Valorant pros in the streams I watch run around blindly with their knives out, even if they aren't crunche...
