in my games, no one was pushing mid, they just commited to a site. But, some people in my games did push mid and my friend said if pushing mid was a dumb idea because you will die to an operator user. what is the real benefit of pushing mid and what should i do?

PSA to players who like to give up when they lose a few rounds in a row
The game isn't over until it's over. I don't think you guys realize how much momentum carries a players skill. If you're down 6-7 rounds in a row at the first half, you can easily come back by stopping momentum and building up your own team...
