I know it helps to see mistakes with VODs, but I don't have any on hand, unfortunately. I'm Daryl#NA1 and have peaked G3 a few times this act already, but it seems that as soon as I hit that rank, I end up going on huge loss streaks back down to G2/G1. I've noticed that in these games, I'm matched with people of a similar rank to me (G2-P1), but often end up against folks that are between P2-P3 with one or two G3's in the mix. I take breaks when I feel like my mental starts to slip, I provide useful comms and attempt to keep team morale positive, and I continue to watch VOD reviews from coaches to analyze my deficiencies like poor movement and crosshair placement, but the games never feel close once I reach G3. Steamroll after steamroll and I'm not sure what I can do about it. I don't want to place the blame on my teammates, either. I know there are unfortunate games that you just can't win, but I like to think there's always something I could've done better. I typically play Sage or controllers; I don't think I've got it in me to play duelist as I'm not confident on the role. I feel like my game sense isn't terrible, I know my aim could be better on those off days, but I feel stuck and would like to improve. I'm also wondering if I'm just in my own head about the rank difference and it's causing me to hesitate against these higher ranked players. Any advice on how to move forward? I'm not expecting to make Diamond/Ascendant, but I'd like to break through this Gold-Plat barrier if at all possible.
