So from what I know there are parts to the rank system in Valorant, that being the visible rank and MMR (Matchmaking Rating). Visible rank being the rank you see in your career (e.g. Platinum, Bronze, Radiant) and MMR being a sort of hidden elo which determines the players you play against and your RR gains and loses. What I don't understand is aside from recent match performance, what factors can affect your MMR?

I’m considering the game.

Did anyone else place way lower than they feel they should have this season?
