My silver 2 friend got placed silver 2, double promoted twice and ended up in gold 3 and proceeded to rank up to plat 1 all within a week.

Me a gold 1, placed silver 2 double promoted to gold 1. And my mmr still feels a bit high. I'd be in plat already too if I didn't play and lose so many games when I was mentally exhausted.

A lot of other people I know have also gone up 3 whole divisions within a week.

What's the point of ascendant if everyone just gets three easy rank ups. It feels a bit inflated now, even if it takes time for ranks to stabilise again or whatever it's still quite crazy.
