I'm a new player (Iron 3) and I'm not sure if I'm doing things right or wrong or what's going to help or hinder me. Is there any bad habits I should get rid of or good habits I should learn?

Can party chat hear you if they are in game?
If you are in shooting range and your other party team is in unrated can they hear you if you open mic in party mic?
