It doesnt have to be cheap, its just an option, imagine a minima collection with clean crispy sounds, or a viper shorty with nice sfx and vfx... It gives life to skins that will mostly be secondary and RIOT could offer the price of upgrade of 1000 VP or more for example. They will win more money with it and technicaly buying a skin that upgrades with RP will be cheaper.
