What's with these FPS drops whenever facing enemies?

Hello guys, I am experiencing a really annoying problem with the game as of patch 1.10. Whenever I face an enemy and shoot/get shot at the game freezes for an instant and I can't see anything except for my dead body. The game was running fine before the patch at an average of 120 FPS and I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. So, what's going on? Are you also experiencing this? Did any of you find a fix for it?

Anyone play at 4k resolution at a high level?

For context, I currently play at 27 inch 1440p 170hz and sit around D2/D3. I am going back to school soon and want a monitor with higher ppi as I will be reading a lot of text on my monitor. I used my buddies 4k 27 inch and text is so crisp...
