I think we've all seen the clickbait Youtube titles "I'm SMURFING in ASCENDANT VALORANT" or "IRON to RADIANT challenge!" and it's literally just an immortal player destroying in iron lobbies and laughing at people who have 3 hours played in the game.
Why is this ok? Why do their cult followings think that this content is totally fine to watch but then go on to complain about smurfs ruining their comp games? I can name 3 content creators who take advantage of smurfing in iron / bronze lobbies because they're doing a "challenge". The one most annoying instance I've seen was someone saying "I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE ARE HARDSTUCK BRONZE" as he (an immortal) goes on to get a pistol ace on bronze players and then freaks out about it acting like it was such an accomplishment.
There's a more recent content creator who bought an account (he jokingly admitted that he bought the level 20 account) then goes on to say he's going from iron to radiant in 30 days and the "challenge" is just him playing fade. Seriously, why do people think this is ok?
The most recent one I've seen is someone who also bought a level 20 account (you can tell they bought it when their very first game is in a complete iron 1 lobby), and is doing a sentinel only from iron to radiant. While he wasn't playing nearly as seriously as the other offenders, he still has a massive advantage against people who are basically completely fresh to the game, top fragged in almost every game, and 13-0'd one of his games.
I don't believe that content creators should get a free pass to smurf in competitive lobbies. If we have hundreds of comp games ruined by smurfs playing in iron to plat lobbies, we should be able to call out these content creators for ruining other people's games. Even if it is for content.
I wanna add at the end here that I think Keeoh is probably the best person who has done these challenges. I've seen a few of his "character to immortal" challenges and while I don't know if he buys his accounts, I know that he doesn't get an iron 1 level 20 account, he just tries hard in his first placement matches and works up from there. I remember one of his challenges he got placed Silver 2 and actually just tried again because he didn't want to make 5 episodes of just stomping on low elo players. His most recent Sage speedrun, he was playing against plats and diamonds on his first placements.

Alt accounts have become a huge problem and it's because Val gives free choice of new agents to players. I'll explain.
