I got to Immortal pretty much just one-tricking Omen since I played him way too much early in the game's life cycle since no one wanted to smoke and now I can't learn anyone else :D

I've been seeing success in Immortal lately with Sova and this has really just shown me how underwhelming and weak Omen's kit is compared to other controllers. The flash is inconsistent and the teleport is really situational, really only useful for fake TP's or getting height when no one is at a site.

Honestly, all of those issues aren't my biggest concern but it's the smokes that really just drive me up the wall. He is a smoker, and I feel like his kit just does not allow him to do that. They've said that they wanted Omen to move away from feeling like a duelist, and in that same patch, they nerf his flash "understandable", but then they nerf his smokes also? They're the only really "big smokes" that can cover a lot of space, but they barely last. The smoke cooldown is actual ass. You really only get to use 3 smokes in a proper round, and they don't last that long anyway, like 12 seconds ish if I remember. Compared to Brim's smoke, and Astra's kit which literally feels like a sentinel who ALSO has smokes.

His ultimate just feels incredibly useless for a 7 charge ulti. I was using it a lot more when you could spike grab with it, but I'm guessing they patched it out because it was a glitch because, that was the only useful feature on the ultimate and now it's really only used for quick rotates to catch people off guard or info at the beginning of a round but you have sova darts and so on.

I do realize that there are uses for these abilities but they just do not feel consistent.

They wanted him to move away from the duelist playstyle yet the only way I can find success on him now is playing him like a duelist, just aggroing with flash and tp and really ignoring smokes. Hopefully, his smokes get some much-needed buffs in the next patch.

Edit: Ult grabbing thing works more now, Valorant servers have been horrible near my area. Also an interesting change might be allowing players to adjust the speed of which you can line up the smokes in your menu.
