Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question. Valorant is my first fps and i have like 6 hours max on the game in total. I almost exclusively play with my duo who’s much more experienced and normally takes the spike. I always panic when i accidentally pick it up and drop it to someone else.

But I really think i should learn when and where to plant spikes.

Do i place it in corners? I feel like that’s hard to defend.

Do I place it out in the open? I feel like that’s risky for me and it’s easy to get to.

Do I plant when all enemies are still alive?
