Considering all of the roles in the game, what role do you think most commonly provides the X-factor that allows a team to win a game in ranked?
I personally think initiators do, as they have the ability to actually clear out entire spaces without putting you or your teammates in danger. Sova and Fade provide literal wallhacks for the team if the recon utility lands at the right time in the right place and is unpredictable. It’s also worth noting that initiator utility has some of the highest skill ceiling of any utility items in the game. Anyone can throw a Reyna Leer, or put a Chamber trademark down for flank…but not everyone is a going to memorize optimal owl drone/prowler pathings or pop-flash with Skye perfectly every time without team flashing. Generally it is this powerful initiator utility that gives a team the edge they need to get those extra few rounds to secure the win.
What are your thoughts?
