In this post I will tier each Agent on how good or evil they are. The tiers are:
- Literally a Saint
- Good people
- Neutral
-Good but do/did bad things
-Not really evil but do bad things -Simply Evil
Literally a Saint
- Sage
Even if you don't know anything about VALORANT lore, it's pretty self explanatory that Sage is the most morally good agent. She uses her Radiant powers to help people and for a good cause. She isn't a complete pacifist though, as she shows no resent in killing people if she has to.
Good people
- Sova
- KAY/O
- Neon
- Astra
- Brimstone
- Killjoy
- Skye
These agents are good people in general. Pretty much your average person in terms of morality, they are nowhere near evil however they aren't saints. Something to note about Killjoy, her machines have caused harm in the past, whether or not it was intentional.
Neutral
- Omen
- Yoru
Omen and Yoru are two agents who appear evil, but to our knowledge they really aren't. Yoru is a bit of a jerk and narcissist to his fellow agents but morally he hasn't done anything to our knowledge that's bad, other than I guess stealing a samurai mask from Icebox. Omen on the other hand, although what happened to him was unfortunate and is not his fault, he does seem to be a bit closer to the evil side of things. He likes getting into people's heads and making them fear him, and enjoys watching them struggle. However, he does seem to resent killing, which is why he isn't higher.
Good but do/did bad things
- Jett
- Phoenix
- Raze
Jett and Phoenix are implied to have had incidents upon gaining their Radiant powers, for example Phoenix's player card shows he burned a building down with his powers. Whether or not it was intentional is unknown. Raze on the other hand, although she's very nice in game, is still a criminal. She's known to hijack trains and has worked with Breach in the past, possibly to steal.
Not really evil but do bad things
- Breach
- Cypher
- Chamber
Let's start with Breach. Like Raze, he's a criminal, but he's not as morally good as her. He is implied to be under Interpol's radar and has a violent and aggressive way of committing crime. He's not sadistic or messed up, but he's no angel either.
Cypher is in this tier for many similar reasons. Although he seems to have a troubling past, he does casually invade people's privacy and is an information broker. He also has some dark moments, threatening people's families.
Chamber is pretty terrible at hiding his bad doings. He might be able to fool Brimstone but it's clear to us he had an involvement with the Everett-Linde incident which caused Fracture, which resulted in a lot of casualties. Because he caused deaths and doesn't seem to resent it, he is higher than the other two.
Simply evil
- Reyna
- Viper
Reyna has had a very traumatic life. From losing a little girl she was very close with to having to survive on her own, she's clearly been hurt immensely by humanity. Although what happened to her was tragic, she is still clearly evil. She enjoys killing people and thrives on the misery of her enemies. She has controversial philosophies regarding Radiants, and in KAY/O's timeline is implied to have lead a Radiant uprising which killed a lot of people.
Introducing the most evil agent in the game, surprise surprise, it's Viper. Unlike Reyna, Viper doesn't have much justification for her wrongdoings. Although she "lost everything", it's known that she played a role in whatever tragic happened to her. She designed her chemicals specifically to cause excruciating agony, both physical and mental, and is clearly very sadistic. She shows sociopathic traits and even knows how long bodies take to decay in acid (seriously though, how does she know that.)
Let me know what you think of these rankings!
