Why can't I use my side mouse buttons?

I recently started playing again and it is not letting me use my side mouse buttons and I am not too sure why it's not letting me use them. I like to use them for communications because it is easier that way.

Val servers disconnecting everyone rn

Played 2 games on fracture and everyone was connecting and disconnecting the whole game. Either its fracture causing everyone to dc or the valorant servers are bad. This is in the West NA servers.
