I've been seeing a lot of people absolutely losing their minds over the chamber nerf. The most common point being brought up is that this change is making him less 'sentinel-like'. I don't see that as a bad thing at all.
Riot has done stuff like this is in the past where they nerf a particular aspect of a character's kit to help forge a particular identity for them. We saw this with killjoy where they put a range on killjoy's bots. This made KJ different from cypher. Killjoy took over this hard anchor identity and left the global information gathering to cypher.
I think this chamber nerf is something similar. Riot is trying to make chamber less versatile while letting him be great in other aspects of the game. This makes chamber a riskier pick as he grants far less information and stall than the other sentinel but at the same time allows far more aggression than any other sentinel as well.
