It's peek. p-e-e-k. Peak is the top of a mountain, or the soft peaks like when you're whipping eggs.
Why does the entire community have a tendency to say peak?

Not hearing your own footsteps
Am I crazy or were we able to hear our own footsteps before I don’t know if it’s a bug but I’m not able to hear my own footsteps in game at the moment.

Different Footsteps
I think KAYO's and Breach's footsteps ( kind of metallic) sound different than other agents and maybe astra too.
