Hi, I wanted to share a theory of mine on why you might load up into say, a breeze game, despite already having played it the previous game. My theory largely relies on the fact that, when you queue up into a game, the system finds 10 players then chooses a map, rather than queuing you up for a selection of maps then finding people for those maps. How I think the matchmaking works is it finds 10 people all queueing for a game, puts them in a lobby, then decides what map the lobby should be played on.
Now say you've just played a breeze game. Matchmaking will give each map a value based off what you've played recently, then when you join a lobby, it adds up all the values and whichever one is highest is the map you're playing. If you've just played breeze, but 3 other people in the lobby haven't played breeze in 5 games, the chances of breeze being the map you play on is still fairly high, despite you just having played it. Once the map is decided, the lobby is directed to the correct server with the selected map.
