Why are people always surprised by run-and-gun nowadays?

My teammates and other randoms I encounter always tilt when they die to run-and-gun, whether it be the phantom, spectre, vandal, etc. These people complain about Riot not "fixing" the running accuracy. It's not as simple as ramping up the movement inaccuracy to 5000% and calling this issue fixed.

Sure, it could be frustrating to die to a lucky, stray bullet from 20m away every couple games, but this really isn't that common of an occurrence. If one were to rely only on run-and-gun against decent players using automatic guns at a distance further than shotgun range, he/she would be punished 9 times out of 10 because of the amount of luck necessary to get consistent kills.

It isn't a surprise that someone running with a vandal 1m away, while aiming at the waist, has a good chance to headshot you. Especially with guns such as the spectre, running while shooting at close range is normal because that is what the gun was designed to do, to a certain extent.

I suggest people accept their deaths as unlucky or realize they've been outplayed instead of lumping run-and-gun into their list of excuses as to why they aren't ranking up or why Valorant is a bad game.
