Why do players not know how to play attack side?

As a solo queue player, I find it abysmal that such a large majority of the ascendant player-base, (to some this may not be considered "high elo") don't know how to approach the game on attack side. Every game feels like round after round, teams insist on grouping together, 5-man stacking main, and fully committing to the rush without a care in the world for any other space on the map. I can understand doing it some rounds when you know for sure you won't be punished due to ults, planning a coordinated util dump or having max cash.

Unfortunately, what happens instead is they run up to the main entrance to site, get smoked off, then stand there and spray for 45 seconds until the entire team dies. People also choose to ego duel the exact same angle at the very start of rounds. No utility being used, not smoking/scanning common lines of site or op angles, and not playing to control space. AKA Defaulting. Too often teams will ignore 80% of the map. Ignoring how the enemy team can move and rotate to deny your push.

It genuinely feels like I get into games with people that queued for spike rush, but accidentally picked ranked. Considering that these people got to ascendant, they should have SOME familiarity with tactics in a tactical shooter right? These are people that have spent enough time on the game that they most likely have watched pro play, and/or radiant streamers. But no. Lately it's been the exact opposite. I could find others with similar mindsets to party with - but it doesn't help the rest of the soloq players that deal with the exact same problem. Even trying to IGL is tough because ego's are too high.

What are your thoughts? Ascendant players, do you feel like this is often the case in your games?
