For context: I've been playing Valorant since May, and it's my first PC exclusive tactical shooter. Currently plat 2, peaked plat 3 80rr last act. I've played tons of other FPS on controller and MnK, but this is my first dive in to the CS/Val world. I had heard that toxicity was a pretty big problem in these communities, but I wasn't noticing it more than other games on my climb through ranked. You always get dudes who lose their mental when you start losing. Sometimes I'm guilty of losing hope too, it happens.
However, I would need a few more hands to count the number of times (especially in gold/plat) in the last couple months that people are getting full tilted and throwing matches after WINNING a pistol round. Who cares dawg? We won. You got traded, bummer. Or maybe it was a misplay by your team, but they came out on top anyways. You now have an econ advantage and a great start to the match. If your mental breaks over dying in pistol, maybe queue some unrated? This is where Val has departed from other games for me. Being toxic while you're winning is a new level of poor mental, and it boggles my mind. Why are people like this?
