I've been middling immortal peaking at radiant infrequently for the past few acts.
As someone who's played tons of different competitive games, (CS, league, OW, dota, etc) this is the only game where I notice players at the top of the rank system that are just missing fundamentals so blatantly.
It's genuinely concerning how many players are just unable to throw smokes properly, unable to flash correctly, overextend, can't read the game, need to be micromanaged, need to be told to use their utility, like what?
Why does the rank system reward these players by letting them into the highest ranks when they're clearly missing skills that (in an ideal world) you would need before even getting out of plat or diamond?
I'm not a perfect player either, my aim is pretty awful and I make mistakes. But the frequency of just total incompetence that I see from these immortal and radiant players makes me wonder what the solution is. More ranks? Ascendant was an attempt at this, didn't really change anything from my personal experience. I'm at a loss tbh.
Please share your thoughts.

What rank do you consider as someone who is "good" at the game?

Getting an 'equal' rate due to draw still reduces your rank.
