Video Version Here:
As an active individual on this subreddit , i observe that many people are complaining about people going AFK and ingame throwers.
And other issues we encouter ingame.
With the new chat ban implemantation, There has been taken the right steps, towards a better system.
But as we can observe, right this community have some growing pains, that is a common issue with most of the products out there. One of these Growing pains is this new chat ban system that has its own drawbacks.
We can observe these problems occour when, people are complaining. And suffering because of this implementation.
For example, one guy got banned cause he used the ODIN (Naughty - Naughty) ingame and recived reports because of that.
Others have outlined that they got chat banned when they did not even use a microphone or type ingame.
And now they are banned, how true these statments are we cant know for sure.
But lets entertain the idea, they somewhat are, for the continuation on this trail.
The point being, that there is a possibility that people who are not rude in chat. Are getting banned because of the drawbacks of this new system.
And as we all know every system usually has some drawbacks.
But can we look at other sources, for a sucsessfull implementation of a system like this?
Yes i have first hand experience on this topic.
As a CSGO player with over 2500 hours clocked in that game, i have direct experience with how much impact such a system Can have on the ingame experience. From that community
There they have this implementation called, trustfactor.
And we can see that, this system puts like minded people up against others.
If people who gets reported alot ingame, ranks lower. And even if you report alot more then what they see as a usual behaviour.
You also get a lower trustfactor.
And as the saying goes, that like minded people play best together. Makes sense in this situation.
So what is this kind of asystem bring to the table, for this community you ask?
Well, we are first of all, getting people who cant handle the emotions when they see something they dont like ingame, can then potentially find themself lower ranked in this ecosystem.
People who abuse this report function, also get punished for not using the system as intented, also in a honorable way.
Again lets look closer at why this is so relevant for This community?
Yes, as we know people who play this game for improving and really try to win. Would benefit from playing with like minded people on the same mission, workin towards the same objective.
And people who, are here to play for fun, are teamed up together, you catch my drift?
And toxic, and unwanted ingame people are also pushed down this ladder, and they can play against eachother.
I see the lack of a system like this as one of the most common, issues i read on feedback from the players. And this would be a big step in the right direction.
So if this community could get some sort of a system like this that would be great.
And i have a feeling that something like this, is on the way. If not the drawbacks are significant.
And the value of a system like this, was really obvious in the CSGOcommunity.
I hope you got some value out of this, and as a community.
We can get the spotlight on this issue.
And please let me know, how this system could eventually be or you guys have some suggestions on it? Please share them below, cause
The End.
Stay blessed.
