Wondering why your FPS keeps spiking down when playing recently? This is whats triggering it, and how to fix it (for now).

Without RawInputBuffer

With RawInputBuffer

This is something you can verify for yourself ingame.

If you don't already use them, I recommend enabling at least the FPS chart, Shooting Error Chart, ping/packet loss as well if you have a history of connection issues in other games.

If you have them enabled, walk around a map of your choice for a bit. Once you get a feeling for what your FPS chart looks like, let go of your mouse and watch your FPS chart. Assuming you are playing on 6.08, its going to become suddenly stable. The second there is input to your mouse, your FPS will fluxuate.

Ok. To fix it go to General -> Mouse -> Enable "[Beta] RawInputBuffer".

To verify that its fixed, repeat the steps above. You should no longer see a decrease in fps while the mouse is moving.

Congrats, see you in a month when Valorant breaks again (even though its probably a longer standing mouse polling incompatibility thing, but that is way above my metaphorical pay grade and personal free time allotment).
