Yesterday, I was spectating one of my friend’s games in a gold lobby where the Jett on their team was getting flamed for being middle of the scoreboard at 15/20/7, when in fact that’s a perfectly good KDA for a duelist player.
Why? Well, as a duelist who is supposed to be the tip of the spear for my team and always taking the first contact, the odds of me either getting the first kill and getting traded instantly OR losing the 50/50, is significantly higher than say the controller on my team, who entries last because he’s using his utility for the team and is thus in an excellent position to trade the duelist and potentially get a multifrag on the round.
If you watch yay, TenZ or tarik VODs that aren’t just insane highlight reels, you’ll notice that they die pretty quickly at the start of rounds too.
tldr: don’t blame your duelist for having a negative kda; as long as they’re effectively using their utility to create space on site they are doing their job

This guy did this every round. He apparently wanted to queue comp but accidentally did unrated and threw till we surrendered but we didn't just to waste his time. He told them where we were going on T side and stole the bomb/never planted. The worst part is that he probably won't even get banned.
