I'm faceit level 10 and immortal 3 currently. But I must've gotten communications banned at least 7 times while trying to get to immortal because I argued with my team calling me a baiter. Even though I'm trying to get map control before committing to a site.
I have seen too many people call their duelists baiter in this subreddit, youtube and in my games. Chances are, if the duelists are actually good at the game, they are trying to default and get mid control or hookah control on bind to deny the enemy information. But all these sentinels try to push to a site as soon as the round starts, trying to push against all these enemy smokes, mollies and slows. After they die, they proceed to call their duelists a baiter even though we still have 90 seconds in the round. When I reply saying "I'm playing a default", they flame me saying "You never told us we are going to play a default". It's like they don't even know the definition of the word default.
Do they really think 5 people going to A main and then getting smoked off for 30 seconds, waiting for the enemy to rotate and then going A anyways because we can't go anywhere else since we just gave up all the map control by all 5 going to A main is going to win rounds?
Just because duelists are supposed to entry doesn't mean duelists are sacrificial lambs who are supposed to die first without accomplishing anything to all the enemy utilities. We don't mind entrying for you guys. We just need to make sure we wasted all the enemies utilities and its not a stacked site before entrying.
On a side note: Reyna is best played as a second entry fragger, so if you are a Jett, Raze or phoenix, try not to let your Reyna front line. 50% of Reyna's abilities become useless if she dies without killing anyone.
I do admit there are duelists who really bait, I just want you to be able to tell the difference between who are trying to win and people who are really baiting.
I might be wrong though, as I don't actually follow the pro meta in Valorant and I wrote this whole post with my POV for CS:GO which is my main game.
