Once you hit 30 wins in competitive, it seems that the game locks you to your current rank, or pushes you downward.
I've noticed this pattern across multiple accounts that I have... so it isn't relating to a factor such as the hidden MMR or win rate of an account.
One of my accounts which have is a far higher MMR than the rank it is, with an ACT rank of Immortal 3 currently in low Immortal or Diamond 3.
As soon as I hit 30 games won this ACT the RP gain and loss reversed dramatically. Even with a 60% win rate this season.
On my other account that had just hit Radiant, I was getting +26RP for a win and -22RP for a loss.
Suddenly, I started getting the opposite for a win and loss, as soon as I hit 30 games won this season. This occurs even with a 70% win rate overall this season.
All players will suddenly get experience a decrease in RP gained as soon as you win 30 games in the current season, and you will notice that your RP decrease per loss increases dramatically.
This has nothing to do with the Act Rank you had in the previous seasons... nor does it have anything to do with your hidden MMR, your performance, or your win rate.
