A tip that will make you instantly better at tactical FPS games

I am mainly a CS:GO player, Faceit level 10, hovering around top 1k USA. I have been playing Valorant with friends and have gotten two accounts to immortal relatively easily.

I am currently playing in platinum elo with friends and my god, this is a problem in every single elo, all the way to probably high diamond.

As attacking side, if you are not defaulting (evenly spread out across the map) and instead you are attacking a site together as 5 - you need to stop making so much noise.

Every single time, I mean 100% of games I play, if my team is grouped at the start of the round to hit a site together, they will stomp a few times before they start walking. Or, they will walk at the start, but make random jumps or steps while we walk in. You give away all of the information the enemy team needs to start pushing other places for info and start stacking the site your team is about to hit.

This game literally shows you the footstep range. No other game does that. It literally shows you that they can hear you inside of the site when you stomp around on the way there. On top of that, the footsteps are insanely loud in Valorant, if the other team hears footsteps they are going to know that they are footsteps without any doubt.

I've never seen this exist as much as it does in Valorant. If you ever wonder why the enemy team always has 3-4-5 people at the site you are trying to hit, its because you aren't properly defaulting or you are just making way too much noise before you execute.
