Pretty much the title. I feel like because it’s free to make an account there aren’t any consequences for people that want to abuse the system to play comp (5 stacking, with 4 accounts being low elo/mmr). Especially since they’re getting rid of the 25% Elo reduction for 5 stacking up until Immortal 1 (previously Diamond), it just feels like in a “competitive” game it’s way too easy to succeed and the ranks aren’t as well earned or prestigious as they are meant to be.

Sure there may be ways to temporarily circumvent this (buying a burner number), but there are some services that can confirm whether a number was made as a burner or not as well as a semi consistent verification (maybe monthly) to play competitive would lower the issue of boosting. Sure it won’t solve all problems (like a Smurf logging into someone’s account), but it’s a step in the right direction.

Edit: Would probably have to be implemented to work in conjunction with a ranked MMR decay. Leaves an incentive to play on one's main and also makes it harder to just default to making a new account.
