Aimlab for Valorant, what to expect

Hey there r/VALORANT,

A lot of people seem to be confused whether Aimlab is beneficial for improving aim for shooters such as Valorant, CSGO etc. So I'm here to clear some things up, before we go into anything, take note that aim takes time and effort to improve, and doesn't happen overnight. First of all, if you want to improve your Aim, don't fall into the trap that these external software (e.g Aimlab, KovaaK etc) will not get you aiming like TenZ in immortal. It's how you use the software. Most people I see using Aimlab for the first time hop onto a gridshot and try to get the "highest score possible" by frantically flicking their mouse at light speed just to see numbers go up. This is an easy way to make your aim WORSE that it already was, as most likely you'll have a very low accuracy and you'll start to develop poor accuracy ingame as well when you could be hitting very simple shots. Speed is very useful, but actually being able to hit your target is more valuable, as I'm sure your aware .

Another key thing I've noticed, is that Aimlab rank almost never correlates to your Valorant rank, I know this because of most people having a ridiculous range of ranks, and somehow I'm Emerald I in Aimlab and Silver 1 in Valorant, yeah please don't assume they correlate, since the difference is just stupid. Just because you are fast in Gridshot does not mean you can aim like you're in Immortal. Most people I've found across both the r/VALORANT sub and r/Aimlab have all pretty much agreed that Gridshot doesn't really do anything. You're honestly better off doing Sixshot for flicks.

So do you need Aimlab to become a Radiant player in Valorant? Definitely no. It's useful for some people and does eventually improve your aim if you practice with it often. But it's no lifesaver, as you have no ability to practice spray control etc, so when you go into a Comp match and don't understand how your flicks aren't hitting when you were doing Gridshot at lightspeed, it's probably because they don't cross over too well. Personally I feel Aimlab is useful to some extent. But Deathmatch would probably be a better use of your time in some circumstances. It's all down to preference I guess. :)
