hey, I'm kinda of confused on how stuff is named and what they really mean in terms of the time line for a season in the pro scene. I come from CSGO so if you can put it into terms like an IEM, A major, a blast, and such that would be great. I THINK champions is the same as a major? but like what are teams qualifying for in the LCQ, and how can I be more efficient in following the progression of a season?
For those that don't follow CSGO but understand valorant, here's kinda how it works over there so you can put it into terms I would understand. Imo the main things you look at are Blast, IEM, ESL (Sometimes called a grand slam), and the major
Blast - probably the lowest one in terms of importance, but still very much worth knowing about and taking into account what team wins
IEM - More prestigious, but still has the potential to be crazy and have some random ass teams.
ESL Grand slam - Slightly more prestigious than an IEM (Imo, some see them as equal)
Major - the big boy, the most elite thing you can win, proves your team is the best in the world (at least at the time)
Thanks for the help! I really wanna get into watching pro valorant, but just don't really understand what has high stakes, what doesn't, and such.
