Cheapest option for purchasing radianite is -20%. How can -20% exist when everything is some-percentage off?

Why was the "Gelato-jump-spot" on ascent removed?
I don't see any reason for removing that spot as everyone knew about it and it wasn't too overpowered (+it was fun to just jump on it repeatedly in buy phase). Does anyone know if the devs explained why this change went through?
