I was talking with some of my friends and I was very surprised when they told me about how often their ranked matches end in surrenders. I’ve played 200+ ranked matches so far in the diamond 2-immortal 1 range and I haven’t had a single game end in a surrender. Of course I’ve had people try to surrender, but usually the majority of the team wants to keep trying even if we are down 0-10.
But my friends varying from iron-gold say that surrenders are a relatively common occurrence for them. This is only anecdotal evidence of my experiences and my friends experiences, so I’m curious if other people notice similar trends.
I do feel like at lower ranks people are far more likely to use an excuse like, “well that guy might be a smurf so there’s no point in us even trying”.
