Since the beginning of Valorant, the game has been plagued with auto-lock duelists that refuse to play support. My question to the Duelist mains is why play Duelists when the other roles provide so much more to the team besides kills. I understand the hero mentality, but I don't understand the unwillingness to learn other roles. I have played smokes/initiator/sentinel since I can remember without touching the duelist role. I think helping the team win through info and utilility is much more rewarding. Of course I like getting kills, but I try to not focus on my K/D but rather on my impact. The thing I hate the most is when Duelists try to justicize them playing the role by their kills, and at the same time, they trash on their support players for being negative. Someone explain the Duelist mentality.
