How come Reynas gets to heal/ghost away using the soul of Phoenix’s ult?

lore wise it makes no sense as Phoenix’s soul wouldn’t be absorbed as he isn’t truly dead, you can have multiple bodies but only one soul I would imagine. And gameplay wise, it’s annoying haha. What are the thoughts on this?

Why can't Phoenix cancel his ultimate?

There have been a numerous amount of times where I have killed everybody on site but since I was in my ult I had no time to defuse. There should be an option to cancel it so that doesn't happen.
